Dance and Drama – The Three Little Pigs

Today in PE, 2 Dahl visited story land for the first time and discussed all the things from fairy tales that they could place in our empty story land. They then imagined they were different objects and characters from the fairy tale, ‘The Three Little Pigs,’ and created these things using themselves. After this, To develop their dance skills, they worked in small groups and imagined they were a straw house that was then blown down by a wolf. The children they imagined they were pieces of straw drifting and swirling around and then settling on the ground.

Once upon a time…

Once upon a time, far away in a small classroom, a year 2 class started work on fairy tales…We read a range of fairy tales and discussed their common features, including characters, plot and key phrases that appeared in many of the stories. The children then wrote their own character descriptions.

Fantastic Fireworks

This week in 2 Dahl, we started work on our topic, Guy Fawkes. After discussing why and how we celebrate Bonfire Night, the children used chalk pastels to create their own firework art.
