Water Fun – Thursday afternoon

Dear Parents and Carers,
The children have worked hard and their jar of marbles is now full. To celebrate, Year 3 have said that they would like to have a water fight for their marble treat on Thursday afternoon.

Your children will get very wet! Your children will need to come to school wearing their uniform as normal. Please provide your child with a change of clothes that they can get wet in – nothing white as it may get dirty as well as wet. Please also send in a towel so that your child can get dried off at the end of the session. We also ask that you please provide them with some sensible, waterproof shoes that they can run around in, eg jelly sandals. For this, we encourage your children to bring in their water play toys, such as water pistols, and any paddling pools you are happy to donate for the afternoon would be gratefully received.

If your child does not wish to take part, please let Mrs Godfrey or Mrs Jaggs know, and we will find them an alternative activity.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Mrs Godfrey and Mrs Jaggs

Year 3 Trip to Windsor Castle

A fun day out at Windsor Castle. Upon arrival we watched the changing of the guard, then attended a workshop on knights and castles. Year 3 did a fantastic job of remembering lots of facts from our class theme lessons. As we wandered around the castle later, they excitedly pointed out the features of castles.

Year 3 Exhibition Day

What fantastic children! The Potter Class came up with their own activities for our exhibition day to celebrate our learning on our Kings, Queens, and Castles topic. We were visited by other classes and the Potter Class led the activities. By the end of the day, we had created crowns, crests, shields and colourful, cardboard castles, not to mention amazing mazes, word searches, quizzes, and a tremendous Abbots Langley ‘tapestry.’
