This week in the Potter Class…

Hope you are all having a great half term. Coming up this week…In Literacy we’ll be looking at patterns in poetry and how we can perform poems. We’ll be using the Michael Rosen website to help us.www.michaelrosen.co.uk.
In maths the focus will be on measuring and estimating: length, height, mass in grammes and kilogrammes and capacity in millilitres and litres. Learning about measuring Time will be coming up soon. If you have a spare minute talk about measuring with your child.www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/5-7years/measures has some measuring games your child may enjoy playing.
In Science, we are now starting our new topic – rocks and soils. Meanwhile in Theme we’ll be learning about mountains and oceans over the next few weeks…we might even visit Everest! Looking forward to lots of learning with the Potter Class.
